The island is known as one of the best dive sites in the world for both beginners and advanced divers, but it could be more difficult to get there. Occasional divers may prefer to make the trip to the Nusa Islands and stay in the south of Bali, near Kuta, Sanur or Ubud.
Popular Bali dive sites include the shallow Coral Garden, where Buddhist statues were made artificial reefs, the Nusa Penida Reef, the USAT Liberty Wreck, and the shallow Japanese Wreck around Tulamben and Amed. There is much more to choose from and there are many more dive sites for your next dive trip to Indonesia.
Diving with Currents
If you want to try dive sites in Bali with stronger currents, try the other two sites reserved for more experienced divers, such as Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Islands. We do not recommend it unless you are from abroad specifically to dive, as many of the other dive sites in Indonesia are more impressive.
